Between Seasons
Summer Memories That Carry Us
This postcard invites you into a brief nature pause - just a few breaths to come back to yourself as you read.
As we move from autumn, closer to winter, nature gently invites us inward: to slow down, to reflect, and rest. Longer nights. Later sunrises. A natural cue to slow down.
And yet, the outside world seems to send a different message: more gatherings, celebrations, presents, travel, end-of-the-year reviews and time to move fast.
If you are feeling a little confused, or unusually tired right now, you are not alone. I feel it too.
Earlier this week, friends from Slow Reads, asked if I had photos from my summer hiking trip to the Alps. As I searched through the photos, something unexpected happened.
With each image I saw, I felt happier. My body softened. I felt more grounded.
Reconnecting with those summer moments in nature, outdoors, surrounded by trees - brought me a sense of calm and perspective.
It reminded me of something important: every transition matters. Each season leaves something behind for us to carry forward.
In today’s postcard, I am sharing some special images from the Alps. Not to pull us backward but to remind us that nature memories can be a place to reset our energy when we need a boost.
One-Minute Reset:
I invite you to think of one moment from this year that made you feel happy, alive or at ease. Notice where you were. Who you were with. Let the feeling settle in. Savour the moment for a few breaths.
If this time of the year feels tender, be gentle with yourself.
Remember that we are between seasons.

Thank you for sharing your mountain photos Tania! They are breathtaking, And we love the reminder that when we can't get out into nature, photos of our favourite places are a great way to revisit the calm energy these places evoke.
